More than hair, it’s an evolving culture that’s inspired by the styles of the world.

OBJECTIVE

Hair done right with consistency yet always innovating. Education backed by experimentation. Volume One is a band of the most talented and never stops creating. Our initial discussion with the V1 team quickly showed us that there was an ongoing narrative that needed support.
From informational pieces, to classes, and product features, they have their hands in everything. They needed consistent ongoing support to build out their visual systems so we set out to build a tailored long term agreement. Admittedly we don’t take on many long term contracts, but when a brands mission and style aligns with our creative team so effortlessly it’s a no brainer.

We spent the first few months covering some events and attending some of their classes. Quickly we could see that their priorities were in building the most talented team.
One of their biggest obstacles was sharing with the patients an idea of what to expect while communicating the brand’s values. NueLine is not the first to do ambulatory EEG testing, but they are the best. Visual work in the medical space can often be sterile and in our opinion treads the line of “too clean.” Here we challenge the norm and lean into the idea of ambulatory care’s most prominent advantages, convenience and comfort.
Volume One’s founder, Hurst Butts, came to us about a year into work with the salon to discuss his next product launch of a high quality scissor called Jack Cotter. It was a startup but we knew we had to find a way to support our V1 team, so we quickly came up with a low cost approach to shooting scissors. Understanding the level of quality we knew we had to create a visual system that supported the high cost product.

Destyn and the Lensea team are such an incredible addition to the south east. The team is not only extremely knowledgable in what they offer but also able to articulate in a way that makes collaboration and creation feel effortless and intentional. While Lensea has a large portfolio of clients they also somehow make you feel like you are their only client and priority. The Lensea team are experts in what they do and a forward-looking company. They are without a doubt the best of the best and a joy to work with.

It’s hard to write a review for Lensea because it’s more than just a business. It’s an amazing team of extremely talented individuals that work together seamlessly, but all bring a ton of individual character to every aspect of the work they do. From the processes of developing, writing, planning, shooting to sound design, editing and delivering the final product, there was no detail missed. Each step of the way we were so thrilled and thankful to be working with a team that you could tell cared deeply about the the work they were doing. It’s rare to have one person of passion invested in any project and we felt extremely fortunate that each and every person on the team was fully devoted to the quality of their work. We look forward to working with a team with such heart again!

I can not recommend Lensea enough! The team they have cultivated is outstanding and if I could, I would travel them for every shoot I do. They are professional, reliable, efficient and they roll with the ever changing direction of documentary making with the most positive attitudes. Each team member is a joy to work with and I can only hope everyone else has the pleasure of working with them.
